— Microneedling —

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) creates micro-injuries with tiny needles to stimulates the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging. With its ability to trigger the generation of new skin cells, just a few sessions of microneedling will noticeably correct fine lines, crow’s feet, acne scarring, and deep wrinkles on the forehead.

Furthermore, patients notice a change in skin rejuvenation, some tightening and reduced appearance of pores. Microneedling also helps your at-home skincare products penetrate deeper into the skin to work more efficiently. While microneedling typically is a procedure for the face, it can be done all over your body for scar therapy and to treat stretch marks. Results are cumulative and most patients need 3-6 sessions before they notice a significant change, although some change is noticed immediately.

Microneedling with Procell

For standard Microneedling, Avery Graham Aesthetics uses ProCell which utilizes multiple-sized tips that make treatment faster while ensuring more even more consistent coverage.

Microneedling with PRP

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that promotes healing when injected due to its high concentrations of growth factors. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot which is beneficial for skin rejuvenation. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. Researchers have produced PRP by isolating plasma from blood and concentrating it. Injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate the body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, researchers think the body’s tissues may heal faster.

Used to “supercharge” micro-needling, PRP uses patient’s own growth factor and stem cells to stimulate collagen and act as a “brick and mortar” system. Patients see immediate changes in texture, tone, brightness.

Results are cumulative and are better with repetition. Essentially, micro-needling with PRP stops the aging process as it continually regenerates healthy cells. It is especially good for someone who is sensitive, has scarring or stretch marks.
